Call It Americana - Roger Wallace - Texas Music an MySpace
Monday September 11, 2006
Kathy's topic for her "Call It Americana" column this week is on Texas country star Roger Wallace. Look for future columns on a bi-weekly basis. Also, if you have a suggestion for a future column that has to do with Americana or Alt-Country music, or artists, please feel free to write Kathy with your suggestion. All suggestions will be considered, but we don't guarantee that every suggestion will be used.

Check out a label which Judy Collins has started which has Americana artists Amy Speace (the embodiment of Baez, Collins and Griffin all in one) and Ralston Bowles (Greg Brown meets Johnny Cash in imagery and delivery) and Eileen Rose (the Pretenders grit and the spirit of Laurie McCain) who all performed at the Americana conference last week at the Station Inn. Worth looking at for an article.
I would love to see an article on Mike Parrish and Sammy Hundley outof Houston. They’ve been burning up the European Charts with their own brand of Texas Country.
