Little Big Town moves to Capitol Nashville

Tuesday April 22, 2008
It was announced today that Little Big Town will be moving to Capitol Nashville Records. They bring with them their platinum album, The Road to Here, as well as their sophomore album, A Place to Land.

On Little Big Town's decision to join Capitol Records, band member Karen Fairchild notes, "We've had a great personal relationship with Mike Dungan (President/CEO, Capitol Nashville) over the years and have such respect for his creativity and leadership." Tracy McGlocklin, one of the band's two longtime managers, explains further, "Capitol Records offers LBT the opportunity for the family-like environment only found at a smaller label, combined with the worldwide power of an internationally based company."

What's next for the group? Capitol will be deciding which single to release next from their current album, and they will continue touring through the end of the month with Sugarland, then on to the ACM Awards in May, where they are nominated for ACM Group of the Year. The rest of the tour schedule is mostly filled with headlining dates across the country.
