Artists and Fan Network - 24/7 Country Videos

Are you looking for a network where you can watch country videos 24/7? No reality shows, or movies, just country music. The Artists and Fan Network goes beyond playing the same top 20 videos over and over. They play music from a variety of artists, including many independent artists. That's not to say they ignore videos that are from major label stars like Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift or Lady Antebellum, but you'll also see videos from stars like Townes Van Zant, Adam Gregory, Lane Turner, and even older stars like Bob Wills, Alabama, Waylon Jennings, and more.
From what I've seen, the channel is only available to DirecTV subscribers. If you have DirecTV, tune in to channel 325, and see what they have to offer. It's a nice change from what you might see on CMT and GAC.

Found this tv channel accidently this am and I dearly love it. No more CMT or GAC for me.

What a great channel.. I love that they played the Robert Plant and Allison Kruase right next to the other top 40 stuff. cool station!
I also found this channel accidently and it was a very nice surprise. They play a variety, not just the same old “popular at the moment” videos! Goodbye CMT! I saw several older videos of my very favorite artist KEITH URBAN!! Very nice AFNetwork!
Im so glad to see this channel come along.Its nice to have a channel to play all music for a change.I would love to see some old videos and some Bluegrass.I love the old stuff like ETC THE HAG.
Just found it. I love it! Imagine, a music channel that plays just music. What a concept. But can we make requets? Even more older stuff. Please!
Finally a country station that plays country videos. Forget Nanny911.
Just found this channel myself and I love it, I had gave up on CMT.. I want music videos not Nanny 911 and big fat redneck weddings!!! What do they have to do with music any way???
Keep up with non stop videos…don’t break and start all that other junk!! One issue, it seems the volume jumps from very soft to very loud. I don’t have this problem with any other station. I hope this gets fixed oon b/c my newborns get startled when this happens! Thanks to whoever decided it was time for a station like this!!!!
Goodbye CMT. You have had your chance, and you have BLOWN IT. You were like a New Lover when You started the Country Music Television. But like a lot of Love Affairs; you have worn out your welcome. All Flash; and No Real Long Lasting appeal.
This music channel is the BEST. Ive seen Gretchen Wilson more on this channel than any ole CMT. Goodbye CMT. HELLO AFN
Same videos as CMT and GAC and they are already repeating….
Yes, I’ve noticed that some of the same videos appear in their rotation, but it’s still a huge improvement over GAC and CMT. At least, there are lots of old videos and lesser known artists in that rotation. I never realized how heavily the CMT/GAC playlists stick to current singles in the Top 20 until watching AFN. I love this new alternative.

I agree with everyone here. I can’t stand re-run after re-run of Dallas Cowboy’s cheerleaders (nothing to do with country music anyways GO VIKES!!). Keep up the great work AFN and ya’ll will do great!!
I love your channel its great. Play some Hank Jr, Waylon Jennings,George Jones ect. Wanna see some Classic videos then it would be even better.
There should be no top 10, top 20 or top 40 list that decides what gets played. How are we, the consumers going to learn about the new artists or, for that matter the older ones, if we don’t get to hear or see them. Regardless, of who they are, they should be allowed access to the public. We shall decide if we want to hear them again or if we want to buy their music or attend their concerts. I for one think AFN is an idea that should have been done long ago.

i was looking for something to watch one day recently, and here was this new channel-AFN,-what a breath of fresh air!New videos from alot of different singers, not the same videos from the same singers.
Love this channel. Like many others so put off with CMT and the Nanny 911, Meet your new mommy reruns that no one watched on network channels in the first place. Finally a real country MUSIC channel.

What happen? I was watching AFN this morning and 5 mins later AFN was no longer on. I can’t even go to AFN website. What is going on?
I just found out that the Artists and Fan Network is having technical difficulties with delivery to DirecTV. They say to check with your provider for alternate access, or continue to their website at:

AFN has gone off my DTV as well - what’s going on? The website doesn’t say and the DTV site yesterday just said tech diff.
I just talked to a real person at DTV and he said they did not remove AFN, AFN removed themselves. He doesn’t know much more other than 325 is an “experimental” channel, various entities buy time on that channel and run different things. It’s actually listed as in “informercial” channel in the DTV schedule lineup, I was told. He has no idea when/if it will come back. I could find no info on the AFN website. He said they could have had a 2-month (or whatever time) contract with DTV and now it’s up. Maybe they didn’t get enough advertisers, who knows. It’s a much better channel than CMT for sure and is a great alternate to GAC. I never saw so many big hair 80’s videos. Hope they come back on.
Over the last couple weeks this has become my favorite channel. However, as of yesterday evening I can’t get it. The channel guide just says, “Program pre-emptied.” Have we already lost the only true Country Music Television. I hope not because CMT sucks!
I agree. This was my favorite Country Music channel. After we got DTV in the bedroom, my tv was always on it.

I enjoyed it as well. They did not appear to have much revenue from advertisers though. Maybe they need more revenue to be viable.

I liked AFN and watched regularily on Direct TV until last week when it came up with message “PROGRAMMING IS PRE-EMPTED” I Called Direct TV amd was told “We are working on it” well it is now a week later and still no channel, bummer

AFN is coming back after the AFN Folks improves some things but right now they want us to hold your horses as Country people would say.
It looks like DirectTv now has deleted channel 325. I would say AFN is gone. too bad, it was nice.
Taking AFN off is a big mistake, left it on 24-7 for a while and really miss it.
AFN is awesome. Does anyone know if it’s coming back. Has corporate issued a statement?

How can i get afn back on direct tv?The only program that i watched.I tried calling direct tv and they were clueless and said that there was nothing i could do.anyone with suggestions please contact me.I am house bound and chair bound so this is all i can really do.Thank you!!!

I loved being able to keep the tv on AFN without channel surfing. AFN was the only cable or satellite channel I know of ( at least on DirecTV ) that runs non-stop music videos. When MTV changed their format to all that cramp and did away with their all video format I was so upset. I was glad to see a nothing-but-video channel resurface like AFN.
Hope it returns soon…. it is a great alternative to the other junk being shown.

I have a friend who wotks for the Artists and Fans Network and he said that they will be back on DirecTV on Friday Apr. 3. So on Friday April 3 be sure to tune in to ch. 325 because AFN is indeed back this Friday.
my wife works for direct tv call center and she is trying to find out for us we just noticed it yesterday because we were on vacation so stay tuned
well guys thats funny my wife just called and said afn will be back but not sure when channel 325 is owned by direct tv what afn is doing is leasing channel thru out the cable and satelite networks to see what kind of customer base they are getting thru what networks and then they are going from there to see what channel they are going to purchase and from who so im going to write to afn anf request they stay with direct tv they are awesome

I CONTACTED DIRECTV THEY SAID IT WAS A TECHNICAL PROBLEM THAT WOULD BE RESOLVED,BUT GOING ON 3 WEEKS STILL NOT THERE.ITS A SHAME WE CAN’T HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE VIDEO CHANNEL THAT PLAYS CONTIUED VIDEOS WITHOUT THE SILL OTHER SHOWS PLEASE BRING IT BACK -STEVE
we liked the show also i contacted dtv and got the same response, we need to give dtv an ultimatium give it back or loose our montly payment, iknow they canot afford to lose 100.00 dollars a month from all of us.

If AFN isn’t going to be back on Directv Then they (AFN) should update their channel listings. Glad to see the came SOMEWHERE to let people know what’s up. Why can’t they put the info on their own site???

Really miss the AFN channel seems like they were the last of a dying breed and they too died. I’m all the way in NYC and appreciate that Country music songs and videos at least still have a message. Sadly quality doesn’t mean that much. If AFN does come back and get big, they will probably be bought out by Viacom– the same company which owns MTV, BET, CMT, VH1. Monopolize the market they said.
This was my favorite channel…I can’t stand CMT with all the reality shows…just play videos 24/7
Seems like country fans and the South in general is really underrated on TV these days. I miss Turner South and the Nashville Network.

Well I’m happy to report that we are INDEED going back to Directv on Ch. 325. So starting on June 1, 2009. AFN will be back with your favorite Videos by Conway Twitty, Alabama, Aaron Tippin Restless Heart, and many more. So tell your friends that on June 1 We are back on Directv.
