Billy Currington Cancellations, Keith Anderson Filling In

Follow me on:

Billy CurringtonLast weekend, you may have heard, a stage collapse amid a major storm killed one person at a country music festival in Alberta and injured numerous others, including Billy Currington, who was performing at the time. Currington suffered a concussion and had to cancel the following four shows in the wake of the accident:
  • Aug. 6 - Sikeston, MO
  • Aug. 7 - Indianapolis, IN
  • Aug. 8 - West Allis, WI
  • Aug. 9 - Pontiac, MI
According to a note on his Web site, Currington will be back in effect on Aug. 13 for his show in Augusta, Maine, with Sugarland. But, country fans in Wisconsen aren't going to completely miss out on a great show, as Keith Anderson will be filling Currington's slot at the Wisconsen State Fair in Madison tomorrow night (Aug. 8). Anderson told CMT, "Billy got hit pretty hard. And we always try to help each other out. That's what country's all about."
