This Thursday (Aug. 27), Kellie Pickler asks that fans attending her Madison Square Garden concert (where she'll be appearing as part of Taylor Swift's Fearless tour) bring with them a pair of new or "gently worn" shoes. The country star will be teaming with Ladies Home Journal to donate those spare shoes to Soles4Souls, an organization which distributes to those in need around the world.
She told Examiner.com, "Whatever the situation, Soles4Souls is there to help and I’m glad to lend my support...Thanks to the wonderful people from Ladies’ Home Journal who are volunteering their time to come out and collect the shoes that people are giving." Fans can drop their spare shoes in a Soles4Souls dropbox at the main entrance to Madison Square Garden this Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5-9 p.m. Soles4Souls distributes one pair of shoes every 13 seconds.
