Billboard has released their list of the most popular songs of 2011, and it's quite a surprising lot.
Sure, there are shoe-ins like "Just a Kiss," from Lady Antebellum's Own the Night, and "Honeybee," from Blake Shelton's Red River Blue.
On the other hand, Miranda Lambert's only tune to break the top 20 came from last year's Revolution.
And Jason Aldean, winner of CMA's Album of the Year, peaked at number 19!
According to Billboard, their top country songs are "ranked by radio airplay audience impressions," as measured by Nielsen data. I'm skeptical that radio airplay is the best way to judge a song's popularity. Shouldn't Youtube clicks and downloads be factored in?
