The clock is ticking down, and as I write this, it is G-minus 5 days until I see Garth again in Las Vegas.

Where, you may ask did I get the title for this feature? Why, from the 1996 hit movie Leaving Las Vegas, of course.

There is much to plan when making a roadtrip such as this. This is my second one, so I have the good fortune of having done it before and knowing what I need to plan for this one. The airfare is booked, the reservations are made at the Quality Inn - Key Largo. We opted to get a rental car, and I've got an itinerary planned for each day.

Can you say "plan?"

I know I'm probably driving my roommate, Gretchen nuts with all my planning, but I like to have an idea of what I will be doing and seeing while I'm there.

We are in Vegas to see Garth, that is the easy part. We were very lucky to have tickets for three of his four shows, and I have a friend, Marti, who will review the Thursday night show for me, in brief, and let me post it so everyone will know about all four Vegas shows.

As meticulous as I am about details, I am the same way about packing for a trip. I always end up with about four times what I actually need in my suitcase. I am sure that won't change for this trip. I'll be taking all four of my Garth shirts, and a plain one that another friend, Gina, will be bringing me an iron-on transfer for. I can't wait to see it. I took a photo of Garth from Lexington and added "Friends in Las Vegas" along with the dates of all four shows, and my site URL at the bottom. It should look real nice if it turns out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

My suitcase isn't packed yet, but I have my things set aside... Digital camera, lots of disks, my photo album, Marks-a-Lot pens for making signs, suntan lotion, sunglasses, tickets, of course, and some rolls of quarters. (What the heck would I need them for? ;))
