When The Sun Goes Down - Kenny Chesney

When The Sun Goes Down - Kenny Chesney

We have new No. 1's on both the album and singles charts this week. Toby Keith's "American Soldier" claims the No. 1 spot on the singles chart while Kenny Chesney's album When The Sun Goes Down takes over the top of the album charts.

Coming in the Top 5 singles, we have Alan Jackson's "Remember When" at No. 2, Tim McGraw's "Watch The Wind Blow By" at No. 3, Terri Clark's "I Wanna Do It All" at No. 4, and Brad Paisley's "Little Moments" at No. 5.

Several songs are racing up the charts this week. Montgomery Gentry's "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" moves up 11 spots to No. 35 this week. Brooks & Dunn move up 9 this week to No. 43 with "That's What She Gets For Loving Me." SHeDAISY moves up 7 spots to No. 34 with "Passenger Seat."

New this week is "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" from Shania Twain, which debuts at No. 50. Another new artist that I'm really excited about is Zona Jones with "House Of Negotiable Affections" which debuts at No. 53. Zona's song is a lot of fun, and will remind you of something Tracy Byrd or Mark Chesnutt might have recorded. Mark and Tracy are actually good friends of Zona, and his whole album is a winner. If you watched Nashville Star last season, you'll remember the delightful john Arthur martinez, who placed second in the competition. He's got a song on the charts this week with "Home Made of Stone," which he performed on the show. It debuts at No. 56. Lee Ann Womack is back with "The Wrong Girl," debuting at No. 57, and new Mercury artist Julie Roberts debuts "Break Down Here" at No. 60.

On the album charts Toby Keith's Shock'n Y'All is at No. 2, with Alan Jackson's Greatest Hits, Vol II at No. 3, Josh Turner keeps holding on to No. 4 with Long Black Train, and Toby Keith's Unleashed comes in at No. 5.

Besides Kenny's When The Sun Goes Down topping the charts, Madacy Records releases the compilation Country Favorites at No. 66 as well as The Very Best Of County Love: 32 Of Country's Biggest Love Songs at No. 69 this week.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for February 21, 2004.
