We have a new No. 1 song this week as Rascal Flatts' "Mayberry" moves up two spots to No. 1. Gretchen Wilson moves up 2 spots herself with her smash hit "Redneck Woman." Keith Urban drops two spots to No. 3 with "You'll Think Of Me." John Michael's "Letters From Home" moves up one spot this week, however is not bulleted, so will most likely drop from the Top 5 next week. Sitting at No. 5 is Kenny Chesney and Uncle Kracker's "When The Sun Goes Down." What song will be No. 1 next week? I'd predict that "Mayberry" may hold on a second week, but then Gretchen Wilson will top the charts with "Redneck Woman," as both songs have a bullet.
Kenny Chesney's "I Go Back" is the top mover again this week, having moved up 13 spots from No. 43 to No. 30. The only other song with any significant movement is Rushlow's "Sweet Summer Rain" which moves up 7 from No. 56 to No. 49.
We have new music this week from Nashville Star 2 winner Brad Cotter with "I Meant To," which debuts at No. 42. Steve Holy debuts at No. 58 with "Put Your Best Dress On." Sherrié Austin debuts at No. 59 with "Son of a Preacher Man," and Lonestar releases "Somebody's Someone" which debuts at No. 60.
Kenny Chesney continues to dominate the Country Album chart with When The Sun Goes Down, however Lee Ann Womack's Greatest Hits package comes in at No. 2 in its debut week. At No. 3 is Keith Urban's Golden Road. Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose drops 2 spots from its debut position, putting it at No. 4 this week. Rounding out the Top 5 is Toby Keith's Shock'n Y'All.
Beside's Lee Ann Womack, Carolyn Dawn Johnson's Dress Rehearsal debuts this week at No. 9. Willie Nelson's Live at Billy Bob's debuts No. 27. Nashville Star finalist john Arthur martinez's album Lone Starry Night debuts at No. 49. Country's 20 Classic Gospel Songs Of The Century debuts at No. 51, and Gettin' Rowdy: A Classic Country Collection debuts at No. 53.
NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for May 22, 2004.
