Alan Jackson Greatest Hits II

Alan Jackson Greatest Hits II

Once again, we have a new No. 1 single. It's Toby Keith, moving up to the top of the chart with "I Love This Bar." Keith Urban drops to No. 2 with "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me," while Rascal Flatts "I Melt" moves up a spot to No. 3, and Pat Green's "Wave On Wave" moves up two spots to No. 4. If I had to guess which song would be No. 1 next week, I'd go with Rascal Flatts. That is, unless Toby's song holds onto No. 1 for a second week. The song has a bullet, so there is a chance, and I would say if he would have won anything at the CMA Awards, he'd have a real good shot at it, but since he went home empty handed, and Rascal Flatts won the CMA Vocal Group award, I'm gonna say they've got a good head of steam and will move up to the Top. Both "I Melt" and "Wave On Wave" are bulleted, and I'm sure Pat's song will move up at least to No. 3, if not No. 2. Gary Allan's "Tough Little Boys" continues back down after it's one week stint at the top two weeks ago, coming in at No. 5.

Movers and shakers this week include CMA darling, Alan Jackson with "Remember When," moving up 10 spots to No. 35 in its second week on the chart. Moving up seven spots is Dierks Bentley's "My Last Name," moving from No. 51 to No. 44. Tim McGraw's "Watch the Wind Blow By" also moved up seven from No. 39 to No. 33. Several songs moved up six spots including Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life" from No. 21 to No. 15. Patty Loveless with "On Your Way Home" moves from No. 58 to No. 52.

New songs on the chart this week include "That's a Woman" from Mark Wills, debuting at No. 58, and Sonya Isaacs with "No Regrets Yet" debuts at No. 60, while Lorrie Morgan's "Do You Still Want To Buy Me That Drink {Frank}" re-enters the chart at No. 59.

On the album side of things, Alan Jackson has a firm hold on the No. 1 spot with [link url>http://erclk.about.com/?zi=1/Nd%5d]Greatest Hits, Vol II[/link]. Toby Keith's Unleashed is sitting at No. 2 with Martina McBride's Martina at No. 3. Shania's Up is at No. 5, and rounding out the Top 5 is Rascal Flatts' Melt rounding out the Top 5.

New albums this week are Billy Ray Cyrus' gospel album The Other Side debuting at No. 18. The compilation Classic Country: Queens of Country. Debuting at No. 71 is the Christmas compilation from Lost Highway, A Very Special Acoustic Christmas.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for November 15, 2003.
