Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life," remains at the top spot on the Country Singles chart for a second week, while Toby Keith's Shock'n Y'All continues to top the Country Albums chart. George Strait moves up one spot to No. 2, although the song doesn't have a bullet, and most likely won't be able to overtake Kenny for No. 1 next week. "There Goes My Life" does have a bullet, and will most likely be our first No. 1 song of 2004. Coming in at No. 3 is Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar". At No. 4, Brooks & Dunn move up two spots with "You Can't Take The Honky Tonk Out of the Girl." At No. 5 is Alan Jackson's "Remember When," which moves up 4 spots from No. 9 last week.
Other songs that are moving up the charts in a big way include Keith Urban's "You'll Think Of Me," which moves up another 12 spots, as it did last week, to No. 35. Toby Keith's "American Soldier" moves up six places to No. 22 this week. Two other songs advanced by five spots. The first is Clay Walker's "I Can't Sleep," which moves up to No. 44, and Brad Paisley's "Little Moments," moving to No. 14.
New singles this week are Rachel Proctor's "Didn't I" which debuts at No. 51. Pat Green has two new songs on the chart, one holiday and one not. At No. 53 is "Winter Wonderland" and at No. 54 "A Guy Like Me." Jimmy Wayne's latest is "Paper Angels" at No. 55. Kenny Chensey's "Jingle Bells" enters at No. 57. MercyMe's "I Can Only Imagine" debuts at No. 58, and Big & Rich's "Wild West Show" comes in at No. 59.
On the album side of things, Alan Jackson's Greatest Hits, Vol II remains at No. 2, with Shania's Up at No. 3, The Dixie Chick's Top of the World Live at No. 4 and Toby Keith's Unleashed at No. 5.
There is only one new album this week with Kathy Mattea's Joy For Christmas Day debuting at No. 69.
NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for December 27, 2003.
