Today the Academy of Country Music announced it will be hosting its 1st Annual Academy of Country Music Celebrity Motorcycle Ride, a star-studded daylong trek through the Nevada desert that will benefit the newly established Academy of Country Music Charitable Foundation, an in-house organization designed to raise and distribute money to worthy philanthropies nationwide.
As part of the festivities surrounding the 39th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, the Academy will host this scenic, day-long 150-mile trek during which riders will see Lake Mead, Valley of Fire state park, and, of course, Las Vegas itself. CMA Celebrity Close Up, Plus CMA Festival Updates
CMA Celebrity Close Up, formerly the Celebrity Lecture Series, was created to provide another avenue for artist/fan interaction - a signature element of the event. Celebrities answer fan questions in a forum moderated by television personality Lorianne Crook, discussing their lives, careers and a sneak peak at the future. Held at the historic Ryman Auditorium, two sessions are scheduled for Friday, June 11:
*Session One: Mark Wills and Darryl Worley will launch the series from 8:00-9:00 AM.
*Session Two: LeAnn Rimes will answer questions from 4:30-5:00 PM; Kix Brooks and Trace Adkins will be the guest panelists from 5:00-6:00 PM.
