The Latest News from Sony Nashville

Jessi Alexander's debut video "Honeysuckle Sweet" will debut on Wednesday, May 12 on CMT. The song, which Jessi wrote with Sally Barris, is somewhat autobiographical of Jessi's growing up years in West Tennessee. "I started this song with the title 'Honeysuckle Sweet,' the two words I could find to describe my summers as a child on the Tennessee River. I closed my eyes and had a stream of visions: catching catfish, sunburned from head to toe, playing my daddy's records so loud you could probably hear it down the river, and laying under the stars at night wishing I could grow up faster. I wanted people to see where I come from." The clip was shot in downtown Nashville and on a farm outside Nashville and was directed by Roger Pistole. More news on Mary Chapin Carpenter, Brad Cotter and other Sony artists...
