Jamie O’Neal Connects With Fans

Jamie O'Neal will appear at the CMA Music Festival, both on stage and off. O’Neal is playing in the annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball game and re-connecting with fans when she appears at the Country Weekly and Country Music Today booths. O’Neal will also participate in the Celebrity Auction benefiting the YWCA, headed up by Martina McBride, who's latest single, "How Far," was co-written by O’Neal. O’Neal is working on her first album for Capitol Records.

Trace Adkins Hobnobs With Athletes

Check out the current issue of ESPN magazine for an article featuring Trace Adkins meeting with a fan from the sports world. Third-ranked men's tennis pro Mardy Fish was anxious to meet Adkins and see him in concert. The two chatted just before Adkins hit the stage at a show outside Miami.

"Man, I don't know any tennis guys who are into country music," he told Fish. "NASCAR, sure, but tennis?"

Adkins latest video, "Rough and Ready," premieres in Hot Shot rotation during the CMT Top 20 Countdown on May 20. NASCAR champ Dale Earnhardt, Jr. makes a cameo appearance.

Montgomery Gentry Take Over Lexington

Montgomery Gentry are trying to catch their breath and a few hours of sleep after their late night album release performance in their hometown of Lexington, KY. Braving the threat of thunderstorms, close to 10,000 fans converged on the Lexington Green Mall parking lot hours before the scheduled show time of the free and open to the public concert.

The duo performed a number of their biggest hits and music from their new album, You Do Your Thing. After the show, they signed autographs for fans who had purchased the album at the adjacent Disc Jockey record store. The autograph line stretched the length of the mall and when all was said and done Eddie and Troy had signed almost 1,000 copies. More...

Patriotism Soars At CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair® In June

CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair® is a four-day celebration of America’s music and at its heart are the themes and issues that touch everyone including love of home and family.

In honor of the sacrifices made by American service men and women – and their families – CMA is donating tickets to the Nightly Concerts at the Coliseum June 10-13; the Friday concert at the Greased Lightningâ Riverfront Park Stages; and both sessions of the CMA Celebrity Close Up series to the troops of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Ky.

“The relationship between Country artists and our troops and their families is a long-standing tradition,” said CMA Executive Director Ed Benson. “And we are delighted to demonstrate our support of these brave men and women during the festival.” More...

Merle Kilgore Undergoes Open Heart Surgery

Merle Kilgore is set to undergo heart surgery today. Kilgore was hospitalized on May 13 after an MRI uncovered a collapsed vertebrae and blocked artery. More...
