Kellie Coffey opened the show, coming onstage wearing a Reba McEntire shirt and black jeans. My first thought was, what a voice she has. Sometimes when you see people live, they don't sound quite as good as they do on their records. Kellie sounds even better than she does on her albums.

I'm not overly familiar with her music, but I know the singles she has released, so some of the songs in the short 25 minute set are probably the wrong titles.

Kellie opened with "At The End of the Day," which peaked at No. 18 last year. She told everyone how honored she was to be on tour with George Strait and Dierks Bentley, then sang a second song that I'm unsure of the name.

Kellie said that she was going to be having a new album out on April 6th and sang the first single, "Texas Plates."

If you couldn't tell by her shirt, Kellie made sure everyone knew that Reba McEntire was one of her big influences, and said she wanted to take everyone back to 1987 with Classic Reba. She then did a great cover of "Little Rock."

The next song was another one I didn't recognize, but her final song was her first Top 10 song, which she thanked everyone that had ever requested it (went to No. 8), and sang "When You Lie Next To Me."

The audience was very warm to Kellie, which I was happy about. Sometimes at shows where you have a lesser-known act opening the show, half the crowd doesn't show up, or else they talk through the show. The arena was mostly full during Kellie's show, and I think that everyone, including myself was pleased with Kellie's performance.

Set List:

  • At The End of the Day
  • Put it in the Sunday Paper ??
  • Texas Plates
  • Little Rock
  • Only You Can Do Those Things ??
  • When You Lie Next To Me
