Dierks took the stage about 15 minutes after Kellie's set had ended. The DJ had incorrectly pronounced his name and Dierks corrected him saying "It's not pronounced Deeurks, it's pronounced Durks." He opened with an album cut, the honky tonkin' sounding "Bartenders, etc."
From there he sang "Forget About You." He then thanked everyone for coming, and asked if anyone out in the audienced like Valentines Day? He then dedicated the next song to his last ex-girlfriend and sang "How Am I Doin'."
Dierks then told the story about sitting in his car and the radio started playing a song that reminded him of someone he didn't want to think of. So, he did what a lot of guys do, and he punched the radio. And as he was in the ER getting stitches put in his knuckles he wrote the next song, "I Wish It Would Break."
One of the members of Dierks' band, the fiddle player is Michelle Poe, who is also a DreamWorks recording artist. She has a single out called "Just Like One Of The Boys," and Dierks let her sing it.
Dierks said that his first name is a family name, and told how proud he was of his last name, and dedicated the next song to everyone, past, present and future who has served in the military. He sang "My Last Name.
Dierks was laughing after the song was over saying that someone had yelled out a request for a David Allen Coe song. He then said that it was supposedly the perfect country song, including "mama, trucks, trains, prison, and getting drunk." Then he sang a bit of it, trying to include the audience, but the audience must not have known the words all that well, and so he stopped and said "It can't be the perfect country song, cuz it didn't say anything about little white tank tops," and from there went into "What Was I Thinking."
Dierks played about 30 minutes, and was totally enjoyable.
