While the venue wasn't full at the start of Deana's set, it was mostly full for Keith's set, and everyone was there by the time Kenny took the stage. For the full show, fans stood, during the faster songs and the slow songs, and you could feel the excitement that Kenny exudes as he hits the stage.
At 8:10 pm, Kenny hit the stage, rising from the top riser singing "Live Those Songs Again," then on to "Young," "Big Star," and my favorite song from No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems, "Never Gonna Feel Like That Again," which featured pictures of school age football players on the screen.
Kenny asked, "Anyone have any problems?" to which everyone yelled "No." He then said, "How about we take each and every one of you with us to the Islands?" He then introduced each of his band members.
Next up was "What I Need To Do." Kenny told us that he had a Greatest Hits album out prior to his No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems album, and asked if anyone was ready to go home yet. When we all yelled we weren't ready to go yet, he said, "I think we'll sing just about every one of the songs from that album, then."
He did a medley of several of his hits, including: "She's Got It All," "Don't That Make You Wanna Fall In Love," "That's Why I'm Here," and "I Lost It."
One of the road crew was celebrating a birthday that evening, and Kenny introduced Jason, and let him sing a song. Jason chose the Kinks song "You Really Got Me," which was really funny. Kenny said, "How can I follow that?"
He did follow it with a fan favorite, "Back Where I Come From," which features pictures of Kenny and his hometown on the screen.
Next was "The Good Stuff," "It Don't Happen Twice," and "How Forever Feels." Then he covered "Cheeseburger in Paradise."
After leaving the stage, he then came back for an encore of "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy." He then brought Deana Carter and Keith Urban back out to help him sing the final song, a cover of "Jack and Diane."
Kenny's whole show lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the crowd was on their feet for most of that time.
The three artists have a good chemistry, and the night was a lot of fun. I highly recommend seeing Kenny's show when he's in your neighborhood.
