I am not really familiar with too much by Rodney Atkins, however he did have his fans in the audience. The song he has out is called "Honest (Write Me a List,)" and I am familiar with it.
Rodney opened his set with "The Love We Made," then moved into a song called "Monkey in the Middle. As opposed to Josh Turner who mainly stood in one place and played his guitar and sang, Rodney walked from one side of the stage to the other. In a way, he reminds me of a young Garth Brooks, in his mannerisms and dress.
Rodney said this was the first time he had played any date west of the Mississippi. Someone yelled, "Welcome to Las Vegas."
"The Love We Make" was next, folled by "The Man I Am Today." Both of these are on his upcoming CD, as was the next song "What's Left of Me." Rodney kidded around saying that he had been signed to Curb and had been waiting for them to release his music, but he was waiting behind this one guy, Tim McGraw. That got some screams from the girls in the audience. He then said they finally decided to release a single on him, and that he feels blessed to have it, and called it "a gift from God."
The song was his single "Honest (Write Me a List.)" At this time several young girls came to the front of the stage and sang along and waved their arms in the air along with the music.
The final song was a cover of Grand Funk Railroad's "Some Kind of Wonderful," which he did really well. He jumped down off the stage as he sang. I really enjoyed his show.
