Emerson Drive opened for Shania on her Up! Tour of 2003. The show started at 7:30 and Emerson Drive played for approximately 20-25 minutes.

The group took the stage promptly with "You Can Call On Me." I'm guessing on that title. I am not overly familiar with all of Emerson Drive's music, only what's been played on the radio, and this wasn't one of the single's I've heard.

There was no mistaking my favorite Emerson Drive song, "Fall Into Me," which was next, and sounded just great.

I must say that I wish my pictures turned out better, but this was the first time I'd ever used the camera, and I was just getting used to the settings. I do have 10 photos of the group, however, so it wasn't a lost cause. I just wish I had taken more. I didn't realize they were going to have such a short set, and lead singer Brad Mates moves around a lot.

Brad said that the group had started playing together 8 years ago. Then, he asked if there were any Merle Haggard fans in the audience. This got some cheers, and they sang Merle's "Silver Wings."

Next was a cover of U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name." Brad then said that they were going to be having a new single out in January and a new album out in April. They played the next single "Last One Standing," which was pretty good.

My favorite part of their set was next which spotlighted the fiddle player in "Devil Went Down To Georgia." He sure does burn up that fiddle. They did a great job with this one.

The final song of the short set was "I Should Be Sleeping." I was kinda surprised they didn't sing "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You," as it was written by Shania's husband, Mutt Lange.

The audience seemed to enjoy the show, as did I. I think they're a good match with Shania's music, and hope to see them again sometime when they have a longer show.
