Megan plays fiddle and told about playing in her family band growing up. She started with an instrumental, then sang a song called "Coal Mine." I was surprised when she then introduced Craig and Sherrié, but it was nice to hear from her what I did, and I'll be looking forward to more music from her in the future.
Craig and Sherrié were on stage together, and alternated singing a song, which was a real nice way to do things, not saying one or the other is a headliner, they're joint headliners. Craig remarked that he didn't really have a set list and wasn't sure exactly what he would play, but wanted to know if we wanted to hear a few of the tunes that will be on his next album. That got lots of applause from the small crowd of about 200 people, so he played his first song, which is called "I'm Country." He said he had recently played it at an industry function and was told it was shallow. He didn't believe that and said that he's gotten great response to it from the fans out on the road.
Sherrié sang her first song, a high spirited tune from her recent album Streets of Heaven called "Somebody's Somebody." I really like this song and hope it will become another single for her. It's really catchy.
Craig said that the next song was another new one and that George Strait had it on hold. He said that last time George Strait put one of his songs on hold, he ended up not recording it, so Craig recorded it and it became his first Top 10 song. So, he said this time he would let George record it and he would record it too. :D The song was called "I Got You," and it's another one I really liked a lot. Sometimes with new songs it's hard to get into them, but this was not the case with this great tune.
