Guide Review - Original: Best of Johnny Cash - Johnny Cash
Universal Music and Madacy Entertainment have re-released a two-disc compilation of some great Johnny Cash music. Johnny Cash was a true legend in the music field. He crossed many musical Genres, and made an impact in every field he touched with his music. He released so many albums, that it has to be very hard to choose which songs to include on compilation projects. Whoever compiled this collection made some wonderful choices.I have a fairly decent collection of Johnny Cash albums and several are compilation albums, giving me many duplicate songs. With this album come several songs that were not yet in my collection. The whole first disc is dedicated to songs of humor that Johnny recorded over the years. There are such gems as "Everybody Loves A Nut," "Flushed From The Bathroom Of Your Heart," Boa Constrictor" and the ever popular "The Chicken in Black." These songs, along with the other six on the disc will have you holding your sides as you laugh your way through the music.
The second disc is just a collection of some fan favorites. You will find "I Walk the Line," "Ring of Fire," "It Ain't Me Babe," "Don't Take Your Guns to Town" and six more great songs. "Sunday Morning Coming Down" was one of the first songs I remember hearing from Johnny Cash. It started out as one of my least favorites, but grew on me over the years to become one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs of all time. It is a truly enjoyable album to listen to.
