In the final group, Marty Slayton of Nashville, TN was the first to sing.
Song: "I Would Have Loved You Anyway."
Brett: Marty, you're just a total pro and everyone in Nashville is trying to be a bimbo, and you're a real woman and I dig that about you.
Brad: But if you should decide to be a bimbo, we'll love you just the same.

Second in the final group was Rachel Williams of Belleville, MI.
Song: "Kiss Me Like You're Coming Back."
Tracy: Hi Rachel. You know you're one of the more confident performers we've seen tonight. Maybe it's because you're so young that you don't know you're supposed to be scared? But, I think you work the stage like a pro, and you have great vocals however I don't know, and that is I don't know if they're vocals that will seperate you from the pack. From other great female singers.
Billy: I wrote down just a few minutes ago "Country music already has Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride, and maybe there's time for a new.. and that might just be Rachel." I thought you souhnded just as strong as Trisha and Martina.

The third performer in the final group was Brennan Lee of Moorehead, MN.
Song: "Right or Wrong."
Billy: I'm frustrated again. First, obviously you have a ton of talent. My concern is are you the past or the future of country? And I don't know and I'm not saying that in a bad way, I just don't know. I think you're talented. I just don't know if it's from years gone by.
Tracy: You know Brennan, I think you're very charming, and I think there's something really endearing about you. I just look at the competition that you're in and I don't think vocally you're as strong as some of the people we've heard.

The final performer of the night was Mal Rogers of County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
Song: "Just To See You Smile."
Tracy: Hey Mal...Let me ask you something, is that the Irish version of a mullet?
Mal: You think it's bad?
Tracy: No I like it.
Brad: That's a Mohawk, and I love it.
Tracy: You know, country music isn't about where you live, it's how you live. I think you come off with a lot of warmth and honesty onstage and you're very endearing.
Billy: Up until tonight my very favorite thing from Ireland was Guiness, but you just changed that. You were great.

In the final round Brennan Lee was eliminated and Mal Rogers moved on.

Next first season Nashville Star winner Buddy Jewell performed a bit of his current single, "Sweet Southern Comfort." Then, Clint Black came out with President of Sony John Grady to present first of many Gold Records. Gave him a plaque commemorating it. "This is the culmination of a lifelong dream of mine," Buddy said, "and Nashville Star made it all happen. All these folks out here were part of it, too, so I want to thank all of y'all."

Next the judges revealed their five choices of the ten remaining contestants. These five were:

Stacy Michelle
Sheila Marshall
Matt Grendahl[
Marty Slayton
Gregory DeLang

The remaining five people will each compete for the remaining spot. The public is allowed to vote both by phone and online for:

That's it for this week. Be sure to watch next Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 pm ET on USA Network to find out which contestant made the final cut.
