Next up was:

Brent Keith
Brent sang Brooks & Dunn's "There Ain't Nothin' About You."

Tracy: You know what I love about country music, Brent, is that it attracts a wide demographic. I gotta tell you, my 11-year-old daughter loves you, my friend Shannon who is 17 loves you, my friend's grandmother who is 74 loves you, his wife loves you. I love you.
Brett: Brent, you're like the David Cassidy of country.. You've got one problem. There's gonna be some guys that don't like you, but all the girls are going to love you, so run with it.
Billy: You disgusted me this week, you disgust me this week. I love you too.

Next Montgomery Gentry gave some advice to the contestants.

Troy: The thing about these kind of shows and everything and contests. Eddie and I have been through many of them. You can play your best up here and regardless if you win or lose and you're not a loser. 'Cause Eddie and I have been through many of these and we are true... winners.
Eddie: I tell you we've won a bunch of 'em and we've lost a lot more of them. And I want to say tell Sheila we'll buy her record.

Next up was:

Stacy Michelle
Stacy sang Pam Tillis' hit "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)."

Brad: You know, I know Billy's going to give you some speech about country radio, but... the Father of Country Music is Jimmie Rogers, who was a blues singer. I love seeing a little more blues in country music.
Brett: You are the singing brake woman. I love it.
Tracy: Girl, you can sing. I gotta tell you, my husband produced that Pam Tillis version of that song, so I know that inside and out, and you kicked butt
Billy: Stacy, I'm tellin' ya, I love ya. My biggest concern is that your voice is just so rock.

Next up was:

Matt Lindahl
Matt sang Marty Robbins' hit "El Paso."

Tracy: Matt, I tell ya what. We need more characters in country music. And somebody like you can probably get an opening slot on the Montgomery Gentry tour.
Brett: Matt, I think you're gonna be the first member of the Grand Ole Opry that wears Pumas. You're awesome. You're a freak and I love you.
Matt: They're blue suede Pumas, by the way.
Billy: Actually Tracy stole my line. Because I have Montgomery Gentry right here. I don't know that you're a headliner, but I think you're an opening act to get the crowd really into the concert.

Next up was:

Gregory DeLang
Gregory sang Rosanne Cash's hit "My Baby Thinks He's a Train."

Brad: Gregory, I think you'd probably kick ass in a coffee house, but I just can't see you as a major label recording artist.
Brett: It's the Nashville Star and that's what we're looking for, and I just didn't see it, either.
Billy: Gregory, you did better than last week. I was really one fighting for you not to be on the show. You did better tonight, but I think that vocally and image wise I think you're dated.
Tracy: Gregory, I still stand up. I think you have a unique voice. And I think that's what we need more of. Unique voices.

Next up was:

Lance Miller
Lance sang the Charlie Rich hit "Behind Closed Doors."

Tracy: Hey Lance. I'll tell ya what. I've actually heard ya sing better, you had a little bit of trouble in the middle. But man, I'll tell you what. There's room for another Merle Haggard and that's what you remind me of.
Billy: Lance, I remembered talking to you last week, and I asked if you were nervous, and you seem more comfortable I agree with Tracy. I think you were a little more vocally off this week, but I'll tell ya, I can't wait to see you next week.
Lance: I was drinking with Montgomery Gentry.
Brett: Lance, you did a great job with that song. You were a little pitchy up top, but you do have a great country voice, and I think the Silver Fox would be very happy to have you sing that.
Lance: I thought of Joe Diffie's version in the middle and got a little nervous.
Brad: You look nice Chastity.
Lance: Why did I have to make another comment. I should have quit when I was ahead.
Nancy: Give it to them Lance, right now.
Lance: I actually downloaded a picture off the Internet and I can actually see it. I hate to say it.
Brett: You do look like Chastity Bono and we like you.
Lance: That's why I got the haircut.
