Nancy reminds us there are five people with a dream and only three names left. The next name called is George Canyon. George chooses "Seven Spanish Angels."
Tracy: Alright George. George, you're like our resident Boy Scout. You're steadfast, true, and we can always depend on you for a great performance.
Billy: I gotta tell you. I feel like I shouldn't be giving you advice. You should be giving me advice. You're right on top of it.
Brad: You know I'm willing to bed that with a couple million dollars of Sony's money that there's a couple million people who would buy your record.
Brett: Really strong. Great job.
My thoughts: George is my pick for the contestant with the best voice. Loved his version of "Seven Spanish Angels." Not blown away, but my favorite performance so far.
Nancy sits with Willie and asks his advice.
Willie: They're all so good. I'm glad I'm not a judge.
Nancy says four people waiting, but only room for two contestants to sing.
They go back to the Hot Spot Challenge. They sing "America the Beautiful" Soon they hear "Gentlemen, start your engines," and they can feel the whole place vibrate as the engines roar to life. As the race went on, they watched along the sidelines with Richard Petty.
Back to the Green Room where Nancy reads the fifth name, Jennifer Hicks. Jennifer chooses to sing "Mamas, Don't Let Your Baby's Grow Up To Be Cowboys."
Billy: Jennifer, I just want to thank America for not letting me down. You belong on the show, and you showed it again tonight.
Brett: Jennifer, you cry more than Chris Cagle, but I tell you, you're America's next sweetheart. I think you are awesome.
Tracy: Listen, you can't make a bad choice when you have the Willie catalog to choose from, but that was a great choice for you.
Three remaining contestants join Nancy on stage, Marty Slayton, Brent Keith and Sheila Marshall.
After the commercial Nancy says there's only room for one more name. First person they're saying goodbye to is Sheila Marshall. Sheila thanks USA Network and Nashville Star and the judges, and everyone in Texas, her husband, her mom and everybody.
The final name that will be performing is Brent Keith.
Marty comes over to talk to Nancy and say goodbye. She thanked her family and friends and everybody back home.
Brent Keith chooses to sing "City of New Orleans."
Brad: Brad, I don't care if you're pretty. You can sing. Nice job.
Brett: Welcome back.
Tracy: Good job on loosening up and having fun. You've got some work to do, but you did a good job.
Billy: Perfect ending. Perfect ending.
They bring out Willie Nelson. Nancy says next week they'll have a live performance from Lynyrd Skynyrd.
