Nashville Star 2 - The Finale

Nashville Star 2 - The Finale

George Canyon, Matt Lindahl and Brad Cotter are now the judges as Brad and Brett Warren sing "A Whole Lot of Beer." Billy and Tracy are also playing on the stage and singing background. Tracy is wearing overalls and is playing a washboard and Billy is playing a ukelele. Tracy breaks the washboard, ala Matt.

George: (In Billy mode:) Well, let me tell you guys. I get about 2 million albums a day that I have to play on the radio, and I really like that, which means it probably won't get played. And your new album Well Deserved Obscurity that pretty much described what I just saw.
Matt: (In Tracy mode:) Guys, you know I know you got of energy. I can see you guys opening up for somebody, and doing a great job. But I'm sorry.. I have to say that um, I hope you would sell a really lot of beer, because I'd have to be really, really drunk to enjoy that. I'm sorry.
Brad: (in Warren Brothers mode:) Ok, wait.. (moves puppet like it's talking) You guys will never make it in this business, and we know because we never have.

Nancy says people can check out the Warren Brothers music at their website at warrenbrothers.com. Then, they say people can buy exclusive downloads for 88 cents each at walmart.com of the three finalists. They have "I Meant To" from Brad Cotter, "That Girl Inside My Head" from George Canyon, and "Georgia on a Fast Train" from Matt Lindahl.

LeAnn Rimes sings "How Do I Live"

Now it's time to say goodbye to one of the three contestants. Nancy brings George, Matt and Brad back out on the stage, and then ala Ryan Seacrest we are sent to a break again.

We come back to find out who came in third. that person is Matt Lindahl. Matt thanks everybody for "bringing him the big bronze."

They ask Tracy for her thoughts. Her mic isn't working at first, but when it finally does start working she says she will be there to buy his album when it comes out.

Nancy asks George what's going through his head.
George: Oh my God, I can't believe that. I can't take this.
Brad: You're asking me what's going through my head? *evil chuckle*

Nancy says the voting was real close and they're going to turn the spotlight on them again. They have the contestants talk about the contestants once more. First they talk about George Canyon.

First up is George Canyon who sings "Ring of Fire."

Next the contestants all talk about Brad Cotter.

Brad sings "The Waiting."

George comes back on stage and Nancy says one of these two men will win this competition and a Sony Record deal. We'll find out after the commercial.

We finally come back from all the commercials and find out who the winner is. That person is: Brad Cotter. John Grady from Sony Nashville comes out and welcomes Brad to the Sony family.

Brad sings what will be his new single, coming out tomorrow, "I Meant To." All the former contestants come back on stage, as well as his friends and family and the judges, and they sing "I Wanna Thank Everyone." Seems Brad didn't know the words, or maybe it was unplanned. I wish they wouldn't have left George Canyon hanging like they did. He never got to say anything after Brad won.
