Guide Review - Faith Hill - Cry
Faith Hill has gotten decidedly more of a pop diva with each successive album. The first two barely hinted at it while "Faith" and "Breathe" were knocking on the door. "Cry" is a full-blown pop album and aside from the sterling cast of songwriters, isn't very country sounding.
That being said, Faith does do a remarkable job with these songs. Her voice hasn't been in a better tone than it is here. Songs like "Free," "Cry," and "If This Is The End" show off her stellar vocals. The best tracks are "When The Lights Go Down," "Free," and "Stronger."
If you are looking for an album that has great vocals and some lyrical gems, then Faith's "Cry" is the CD for you. If you're not a pop fan, you'll want to skip "Cry."
