Guide Review - Fate's Right Hand - Rodney Crowell
Thinking songs are Rodney Crowell's forte and all eleven tracks on "Fate's Right Hand" give you something to ponder. Listening one time to each track will not be enough to fully grasp the meanings and messages in each and every song on the album.Title track "Fate's Right Hand," has a freestyle sound to it as Rodney deals with everything wrong in the world today, while "The Man In Me" deals with a person who is not comfortable in his own skin. "Still Learning To Fly" is a pretty poignant song about reflection and wondering where life will take you when you leave this earth. Broken hearts will take time to heal, but everyone must go on and start a brand new day as stated in "Adam's Song."
One of the best songwriter's from any genre is how I would describe Rodney. His songs have multiple layers of depth along with introspective lyrics and melodies that very few others have in their music. Because of the talent this artist has, you definitely get your money's worth on "Fate's Right Hand."
