Guide Review - Kevin Fowler - High on the Hog
Only receiving major airplay in Texas doesn't drag Kevin Fowler down, he just keeps on releasing quality songs and albums for the fans to grab from the store shelves."Senorita Mas Fina" has a Tex-Mex or Tejano sound because of the accordians, while "The Lord Loves The Drinkin' Man" is a honky-tonk song through and through with lyrics referring to "the church of Hank Williams." "Ol' What's Her Name" has already been released but is one of the best Fowler songs yet, while ballad "Not Lovin' Anymore," is about deep heartache.
It seems as though Kevin has mastered the art of building on his already unique style so that each time a song plays from "High On The Hog" the listener is amazed at the quality and talent found on the album.
