Guide Review - Carrying On with Johnny Cash & June Carter

Originally released in September of 1967, "Carryin' On with Johnny Cash and June Carter" is astounding even with today's set of standars. The fun loving couple really shined on this collection.

You can't beat feisty duets as demonstrated on "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man" and the popular song "Jackson." While "What'd I Say," written by Ray Charles has more of a rock and roll groove. Reminiscing about the old times is prevalent on the slow tune, "Oh, What A Good Thing We Had."

Whether the songs are up-tempo and fun or slow and introspective, the couple has a spark that is undeniable and is sure to be noticed if the album is purchased.

good times, Member AlwaysApril

Just a fun, honest album. John and June almost married and on fire. Luther Perkins at his sticky best, and slightly heavy on the 60's corn/schmultz. The happiest of times for John I think.
