You Do Your Thing DVD Montgomery Gentry

You Do Your Thing DVD from Montgomery Gentry

The Bottom Line

All in all, it is a fun project. It is a little different from the live DVD projects a lot of artists are doing now, but yet it isn't just impersonal videos. They have personalized it and made it something worth checking out.

Guide Review - You Do Your Thing - Montgomery Gentry

Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry have put together a little treat for their fans. It is not a concert DVD, but rather a compilation of different things that fans will enjoy. There are six music videos, including the video for their latest single, "If You Ever Stop Loving Me." There is an option to turn audio commentary on, and that gives voiceover commentary from the guys on the stories behind the videos. When this option is selected, you get the commentary through the videos, and not the music. When it is turned off, you get the videos just as they appeared on your music channels. A discography gives you all of their albums complete with track lists. A timeline starts with their 1997 signing with Columbia Records. All their accomplishments and public appearances are listed through the May, 2004 release of 'You Do Your Thing."

A photo gallery goes through several of their publicity shots. And one of the neatest things they included was an all access backstage pass. It shows the guys on the road and off the stage. It gives you an idea of some of the things they entertain themselves with while they are traveling and they obviously have a lot of fun. They have a website at www.montgomerygentry.com and it is listed on their. The last menu item is the credits. There is a short commentary and then an audio of "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" as the DVD credits roll.
