To earn extra money for the family, Sara fronted a band with her brothers, who backed her up on guitar, bass and banjo. They played American Legion halls, talent contests and PTA meetings - all when Sara was just 4. As time rolled on, so did Sara - in a motor home. The 10-year-old and the rest of the Evans clan rambled down Missouri highways to play gigs in an RV with The Sara Evans Show painted on the side.
