The Country Music Association Awards are the most prestigious of all the awards a country music artist can aquire. If an album or artist or song won a CMA award, you can be sure the music is some of the best the industry has to offer. The albums below are from award winning artists and groups from the 2002 CMA Awards.
Martina first won the Female Vocalist CMA back in 1999. After a two year absence, she is back strong with hits such as "When God Fearin' Women Get The Blues," and "Where Would You Be" from her Greatest Hits album.
2002 was definitely Alan Jackson's year at the CMAs. His album Drive won Album of the Year, and his single "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)" captured him the Single and Song Awards. Then, to top it all, he took home the Entertainer award as well. Drive is definitely one of Alan's best albums, in a career filled with quality work.

After a two-year absence, the Dixie Chicks are back with their multi-platinum-selling album, Home which contains two Top 5 songs in "Long Time Gone," and "Landslide." The album is sure to wield many other singles, and may even go on to top their first two albums in sales. This year they reclaimed their Vocal Group status after a year off.
After losing the Vocal Duo in 2000 to Montgomery Gentry, they recaptured the award in 2001, and continue the run in 2002. Steers and Stripes contains three No. 1 hits, "Ain't Nothin' 'Bout You," "Only In America," and "The Long Goodbye." Plus a Top 5 hit with "My Heart is Lost To You," and a Top 20 hit as of this week, with "Every River."
After their debut album sold Platinum, the guys released Melt, which has debuted at No. 1 on the Country Album charts. The first single, "These Days," is sitting at No. 3 on the Billboard singles charts as of this week, and sure to rise higher. This success is surely one of the reasons Rascal Flatts won the coveted Horizon award this year.
Willie's recent album, The Great Divide had several interesting duets on it, one being the CMA award-winning "Mendocino County Line" which he performed with Lee Ann Womack.
Brad Paisley's second album has released three singles so far, all Top 5 songs. The video is a fun look at a guy who likes fishing so much that he's willing to give up his girlfriend when she makes him choose.
