(Album of the Year)

The Album of the Year nominees are:

  • Breathe - Faith Hill - Warner Bros.
(Byron Gallimore, Dann Huff and Faith Hill
  • Fly - Dixie Chicks - Monument
    (Blake Chancey and Paul Worley
  • I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack - MCA
    (Mark Wright and Frank Liddell
  • Under The Influence - Alan Jackson - Arista/Nashville
    (Keith Stegall)
  • Who Needs Pictures - Brad Paisley - Arista/Nashville
    (Frank Rogers)

Who Do I Want To Win?

First let me say that I think that Lonestar's Lonely Grill should have been nominated here. If you go by numbers, both I Hope You Dance, and Who Needs Pictures have only gone gold. Under the Influence has gone platinum, Breathe has gone 3x platinum, and Fly is at the top with 6x platinum. Lonely Grill was certified 2x platinum, and is nearing 3x, yet was overlooked.

All that aside, I'm a big Brad Paisley fan, and would love to see him win this award.

Who Will Win?

Again, going by the numbers, the Dixie Chicks have it in the bag with Fly, however Faith Hill is really hot too, and may give them a run for their money. But I still see the Chicks coming out on top.
