Again, I have to go with my favorite. They're underdogs and won't have the power to beat out the Chicks, or even Lonestar, but I love 'em. Diamond Rio.

Who Will Win?

There are really only two groups that have a shot at capturing this award. The Dixie Chicks are on fire with their two albums, Wide Open Spaces, and Fly selling nine and six million respectively, as well as a sell-out tour going on now. Lonestar is no slouch either with three #1s from Lonely Grill. I don't even know why Alabama was nominated. They did virtually nothing last year. Asleep at the Wheel, apart from their participation in the George Strait Country Fest gets no radio play, so I'm not even sure why they are here. Diamond Rio, while in my heart, I love 'em, hasn't done a whole lot this last year either. Gotta go with the Chicks without a doubt.
