Who Will Win?
I'm not quite sure how the artists are chosen for the Horizon Award, but here from the CMA Awards site is the description of the category:
So, it doesn't have to be a new act, just an act that has broken out, so to speak. In using that description, I'd have to say that Brad Paisley fufills this beyond a shadow of a doubt. Sara Evans actually didn't do much last year. Montgomery Gentry have been having success on the charts, as are SHeDAISY. Chely Wright has had several songs released from her Single White Female album, but none as successful as the title track. I'm sticking with Brad.
