Keith Urban performs his hit, "Raining On Sunday."
Next, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Emerson Drive present the award for New Female Vocalist. The award went to Kellie Coffey.
Nascaar driver Tony Stewart introduces Diamond Rio who sing their new No. 1 hit, "I Believe."
Trick Pony and Eric Close presented the award for New Vocal Duo/Group. The award went to Emerson Drive.
Rascal Flatts performed "Love You Out Loud." Behind them on the screens some of the words to the song were shown.
Lee Ann Womack presented the award for Top Male Vocalist. The award went to Kenny Chesney. Kenny looked speechless, and had to turn around to compose himself. When he turned back to the audience, all he could say was "Thank you."
Nancy O'Dell of Access Hollywood, and the recent Nashville Star series introduced LeAnn Rimes who sang a song I don't know.
The Home Depot Humanitarian Award was announced next by Reba. The voting was done by people over the Internet up until that time in the show, and when the votes were tallied, Lonestar was announced as the winner.
Darryl Worley sang his recent multi-week No. 1 song, "Have You Forgotten." During the song several times, they showed the former P.O.W.'s singing along with the song. When he was through he received a standing ovation.
Mark Wills and Pam Tillis presented the award for Top Vocal Group. The award went to Rascal Flatts.
Reba said that earlier this month country music lost a very special person in June Carter Cash. She gave a brief background of June's life and career and said how much she will be missed.
The Pioneer Award this year was given to Alabama. Before receiving their award they performed their first No. 1 song, "Tennessee River." Kenny Chesney presented their award to them and hugged each band member.
Next, the Dixie Chicks live via satellite from a performance in Austin, TX performed "Godspeed (Sweet Dreams." Natalie had a shirt with the initials "F.U.T.K." on it. Not sure what it meant, but several people thought it was referring to Toby Keith. One other person said she heard it meant "Freedom, Unity, Truth and Knowledge."
Cledus T. Judd came out in a shirt with flaming skulls and took a picture of himself on stage to show his mom that he really was on the ACM awards. He then introduced Montgomery Gentry.
Montgomery Gentry sang "My Town."
Louise Mandrell and Trace Adkins presented the award for Top Female Vocalist. The award went to Martina McBride.
Vince Gill presented the final award of the night, Entertainer of the Year to a missing Toby Keith. Later, it was mentioned that Toby was not expecting to win at all, and he was taking the opportunity to write a song with Willie Nelson.
Reba thanked everyone and said goodnight along with Vince.
