Afterglow: The Will Roger's Session, on Independant label "Broken Bow Records," is The Great Divide's first album since being added to this label. This album was recorded at the old "Will Rogers Theater" in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is inspired by both Country, and Rock & Roll music. All songs were written by Lead Vocalist and Guitarist Mike McClure except for "Livin' Like Thanksgivin'" which was written by Mike McClure, Kelley Green, and Scott Copeland.

In "The Days Go," (their first single from the album), you hear a message saying that in order to get to the honest truth, you have to look deep down inside yourself.

"Out of Here Tonight" is a mid tempo song about how he and his "baby" have been talking about leaving the town that they have always lived in. They want to throw their worries out the window and drive to Amarillo where they can have a good time by staying up all night and sleeping all day.

Despite both of their bad relationship reputations, in "Wild Horses," he wants to forget about the past and get on with the future (with each other). Instead of thinking about the bad times, he wants to make good times with the one he loves. "Girl, listen to your heart for a minute. It's beating right along with mine." I love the music on this one.

Slow and soft, in "Wildflower," he compares the lady to a wildflower by saying "You were always such a wildflower, and flowers fade away but I doubt you ever will." He doesnt want her to change who she was for anyone, he wants her to just stay wild because everytime he was around her, he would smile. After a brief pause, there is a "wild" version (more guitar and drum sounding) of the some verses and chorus (right before the end).

"Ain't About To Fall" talks about a two-faced person that runs him down all the time. The person won't say it to his face, because of the stuff being said about him. He isn't about to give the bad talker satisfaction so he ain't about to fall no matter if he messes up or doesn't.

"Hang on Cowboy" is my favorite song on this album. It is a very toe-tapping honky tonk tune. This song sounds like something Charlie Robison or Jack Ingram would do.
