Carrie's Corner
line

Dateline: April 23, 2001

I have decided to make this week's "Carries Corner" a listing of George Jones' songs, albums, and awards. Nothing bothers me more then not being able to find out what year an artist won an award or what year a song was released.

I cannot think of one other singer in Nashville these days that is more respected then George Jones. He is truly a legend. I have listened to his music since I was a little girl, and even after all these years it affects me the same way. When he sings the tender "Walk Through This World With Me," or when he cries out the most famous honky tonk song ever, "He Stopped Loving Her Today," you feel something that is really missing from most of today's music.
