1999 WGAR Country Jam SATURDAY: Jessica Andrews ~ I love her voice yes! She can sing them songs real well. I really like her new single "You Go First." A chorus that is stuck with you for a long time. I think the only thing wrong with her was she had no underwear on or she had on a thong. I think it's a little wrong cause she's only 15. Ask my parents they saw that too. But what got the crowd was when she left and came back out with a Cleveland Indian's jersey on. That was cool!! She also is a good talker and very pretty. I saw her pretty up close when she was signing autograph's. I'm not yet sure if I want to buy the CD yet cause I can't really remember the songs. She has a great voice though. Keith Harling ~ First time I've ever seen him and he was good ole Pure Country. I'm happy he has a new deal with Giant. I still need his old CD. Is it a must have? Also I swear he sounds so much like Trace Adkins at times and then he looks like Alan Jackson with his blond hair. He played some good tunes. He doesn't move a lot but his voice is just so awesome live. Michael Peterson ~ HE WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! He was one of my favorites. He is so good in concert. It's soo hard to put in words and to remember everything cause of Mark Chesnutt.. but I can't wait to see Michael again in July he a great entertainer. Michael is a must see. Even if you like country or pop you should still see him. the Mark Chesnutt ~ Oh my gosh this man is AWESOME!!! Okay my radio station WCOL had a country jam the same day as WGAR's. They are both called Buckeye Country so I guess they are owned by the same person or whatever. So this poor guy Mark had to sing at WCOL & WGAR in one day. He's awesome to do both shows. His band looked just a little pooped but where still awesome as well. Mark & the band did a little Ricochet thing where they have no music just start singin. Then oh my gosh the best part the most non Mark thing was when he sang "Jump Jive An' Wail" by Brian Setzer Orchestra. If you haven't heard the song it's big band music or swing whatever you like to call it. But dang I thought Mark did an awesome job with it. It was my favorite part cause that's a great dance song. But Mark was different this time when I saw him last year in the COLD. The heat must have gotten him crazy. LOL Also girls, Mark has a nice butt. =o) Faith Hill ~ Ladies and Gentlemen...Ms. Hippie. This girl is loving the hippie days. Goodness! It was so cute though. She is so so so thin for a woman who has 2 girls. Gosh darn is she so thin. She really works out cause she has some abs. She sang awesome too. Her voice was just great. I wish I could have stayed for it all but it really wasn't like way awesome just awesome cause Tim didn't come out. He was there. People backstage said he was but he wasn't sure if he was gonna come out. That made me mad at him a little but I got over it. I just really wanted to see him since I won't see him at all this year. But other wise her show was great that I saw. My parents wanted to get goin so I only saw about half which sucks cause it was her first headlining tour and I really wanted to see it all. SUNDAY: Susan Ashton ~ She was very cute! I liked her outfit. She has a very nice voice. These crazy girls in front of us were yellin at her keyboard player cause he was hot. Susan heard 'em and she said "You like the keyboard player huh?" the girls scream YEAH and Susan says "Well he's single and his name is Bo and the bus is right behind us." LOL! That was funny!! I think I'll go buy her CD. The Warren Brothers ~ I only saw half cause I had to go and stand in line to meet Sara Evans. I listened though. Brett was cute. He came out with a cowboy hat, harmonica, these new Adidas tennis shoes, and his cute new little tiny piece of hair on his chin (like Mark Miller). LOL! Brad was all normal Brad (boots, nice shirt). Oh yeah girls Brett just had on a white tank top (ew la la). Also I heard their new song on the new Kevin Costner movie. Great song! *Sara Evans Meet n Greet* Okay we got backstage thanks to Shawn & Craig (THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!) With out me meetin Shawn I would have probably never met Sara and without Craig being so nice to let us meet Sara cause he really didn't want to. But I got my picture taken with the cute little pregnant (8 months next week) Sara. She came out with her cute sun glasses I love and her pony tails. Oh yeah of course something black. LOL! Her dress was black. She was so pretty too! I talked to her sayin I'm the webpage girl (She looked like she knew who I was =o) and Then dad got his picture with her. After Sara signed some more I talked to her about the 97 concert and if Craig (her husband) ever played in the band back then. She said yeah and he did too when my dad asked. So Saturday when I meet her we'll bring the picture this time with Craig in the band to show her. It went by fast cause she was gonna be singin soon and after the show she had to sign some more. Sara Evans ~ WONDERFUL!!! She sounds just the same cause you know she's 8 month pregnant. She was so cute about it when she said "If you didn't know I'm pregnant." then she pause and said "I'm really not showing can't you tell?" and people up front are like what? cause when you are lookin at her you see her side and you can see she really is kinda pregnant (backstage she didn't look all that pregnant) and she goes like what I'm not showin like look on her face. The songs she sang where like 3 songs from her debut CD (3 chords, shame about that, imagine that) and songs from her new CD (She was really promoting her self. That's like ole Sara) she did Great Unknown, Cryin Game, No Place That Far (back ups by Shawn), I thought I'd see your face, the knot comes untied, Cupid (back ups by Shawn). She first sang "Swingin Doors" by Merle Haggard. She also did a tune her and her sister sing which I don't remember the name. Her sister Ashley sure can sing and looks and sounds (when she talks) like Sara. I also yelled out during this song "You Go Girl!" I think she might have heard me. I really wanted to yell that to get some attention. HEHE Also on her way to sign autograph's dad waved and she waved back. I think she waved at me when I went up to take a picture of her. Diamond Rio ~ Well I heard 'em but never really seen 'em I did when I took pictures. The crowd loved 'em so everyone was standing. The songs were great. My favorite part is their Titanic song and Dana does his drum thing. He kicks butt man!!! Also I went backstage again to say good-bye to Shawn with his dad and my dad. We went in the tent part where the stars eat. All of Diamond Rio are in there and Jeff Cook from Alabama. I'm like not even on Cloud 9. It's like Cloud 10,000. LOL! It was so un real for me. Oh yeah I forgot to say when I was back there meeting Sara, Brett (Warren) came up to shake Craig's hand and I was kinda freakin and then I walked by Brett. It was too cool for me. I also talked to the Warren's drummer Jenny. She's cool! Alabama ~ They're great but I'll relax more when I see 'em again. We stayed for like 5 or more songs cause everyone was standing so we couldn't see. They were great though but we'll see 'em in July. |
