Paul Brandt is sure keeping his plate full these days. Back home in Calgary last week, Paul was busy visiting radio stations, meeting his fans, taping a performance for CMT, and of course attending the Canadian Country Music Awards, for which he is nominated in three categories.

Alan Jackson has finally spoken publicly about the split between himself and his wife, Denise. He says they just had "grown apart." But having this happen was the best thing that could have happened, because now they're stronger than ever and will renew their wedding vows later this year.

Catch an interview with Trisha Yearwood in the September 18-20th issue of USA Weekend. Don't expect to see her joining the trend to show her belly button, she says that's just not her. What you can expect is to see Trisha on the CMA Awards via satellite from Buffalo, NY, with Garth Brooks.

Hank Williams Sr.. The underlying these of this exhibit is the devil. Curator, Anne Brown says that the artwork isn't trying to glorify Williams' self-destruction from alcohol and pills, merely acknowledge it.

While tour partner LeAnn Rimes dislikes Nashville, Bryan White doesn't agree. He'll be giving a free concert on October 31st in RiverFront Park. Not just once, but two shows. In between he'll make his way over to the Arena and sing the National Anthem for the Nashville Predators game that night.

Shania Twain keeps on raking in the awards, picking up six CCMA awards earlier this week. She won the Fans Choice, Top Selling Album, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Video of the Year, and Female Artist. Whew!

Kenny Chesney will soon be hearing wedding bells. His own. He's marrying his hometown sweetheart, Mandy Weals in November. No word on the location. That is being kept secret, however pals Tracy Lawrence and Skip Ewing will sing at the wedding.

CMT's telecast of Farm Aid has been expanded to cover eight hours. Martina McBride, K.T. Oslin, and Michael Peterson will all host segments of the show.

If you're gonna be in the Rayville, Louisiana area on October 11th, you might want to try to get tickets to Swampstock '98. This is Tim McGraw's Celebrity Softball Challenge, which is in its fifth year now. Tickets can be purchased for $10.00 in advance, or $15.00 at the gate. The proceeds go to help the children of the area develop a Little League team, as well as provide college scholarships for area students.

Email Reba questions on the CBS website, then come back on September 27th, the date her TV Movie, "Forever Love," is scheduled to air, to see her answers.

In Chico, CA, LeAnn Rimes & Bryan White had to cancel a show recently when a stage could not be made safe.

A two-hour made-for-tv movie on John Denver is in the works. The project has the blessing of Denver's family, and is based on his 1994 autobiography, "Take Me Home."

The 09/19-9/26 issues of TV Guide will feature four Female Country Stars. Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, LeAnn Rimes, and Faith Hill will all grace the covers separately.

October 20th is the scheduled release date for Deana Carter's new album, Everything's Gonna Be Alright. The first single is called "Absence of the Heart," which Deana will sing on Jay Leno's show on October 26th.

Recent additions to the CMA Awards to include The Wilkinsons, Lila McCann, The Warren Brothers, and Mark Wills. There will be over 60 stars performing on the show.

Poor Terri Clark was hurt by an overzealous fan, who dislocated her shoulder. The fan grabbed her arm as she waved from the back of a convertible, trying to pull her from the car.

September 23rd is the night of the CMA Awards, but it's also the night you can watch and listen to a RealVideo conversation with Waylon Jennings starting at 8pm EDT.

Vince Gill is preparing a 15-city tour after Thanksgiving to promote his new Christmas album, Breath of Heaven.
