Kenny Rogers performed his hit, "Buy Me a Rose," accompanied by Alison Krauss, and Billy Dean.

Terri Clark and Ray Benson from Asleep at the Wheel presented the award for Single of the Year.

The winner of the award was:
"I Hope You Dance," by Lee Ann Womack

Trisha Yearwood performed her latest single, "Where Are You Now," along with Kim Richey, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. They sounded great, as usual, but I think they forgot to turn on Trisha's microphone at first because we couldn't hear the first couple of words she sang.

Tim McGraw sang a song that he will be releasing, called "Things Change." Behind him videos played of Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

Billy Gilman sang a bit of his hit single, "One Voice," and then announced the Broadcast Awards.

Martina McBride performed her latest single, "There You Are," and looked radiant, as usual.

Eric Heatherly sang a bit of his smash hit, "Flowers on the Wall" in the bumper spot before the commercial.
