"Hello Darlin'" will always be one of my most favorite Conway tunes. From the "hello darlin'," softly spoken at the beginning, to the line where Conway confesses that he "cries all night 'til dawn," and "loves her and misses her" - this song is a true tearjerker classic. "15 Years Ago" is the story of a man who is happily married but is harboring too strong of feelings for an old love. "15 years ago and I still feel the same, why did he have to mention your name? I'm as broken up inside as if it's been a week or so. It takes a mighty long time to get a real love off your mind. I know I've tried since 15 years ago." Avid country music fans are sure to remember Ben Colders' parody of this song, "15 Beers Ago." "(Lost Her Love) On Our Last Date" combines Conway's heartfelt vocals with the awesome piano music of Floyd Cramer. There have been some great collaborations in country music through the years, but this one is my absolute favorite. "You've Never Been This Far Before" is more popularly known as the "Boom Boom Boom" song. Even after all these years, I still wonder how in the world this song was released in the time that it was. It's Conway at his subtly sexual best. "Don't Cry Joni" was one of Conway's rare duets without Loretta. What made this tune even more special is that Conway's partner in this song was his daughter Joni Lee. "Linda On My Mind" has the distinction of having an odd place in my family history. This song came out when my parents were dating and Dad was flirting with a lady named Linda to make my Mom jealous. To this day, any mention of this song makes Dad grin and still makes Mom mad. "As Soon As I Hang Up The Phone" is a song that was once released as a duet with Loretta Lynn. The version on this album is Conway by himself, which only makes this tune more heart wrenching.
