Country music has changed my life. I have always liked all kinds of music, classic rock, heavy metal mostly, except for country, never really getting it. Then, a friend I worked with, introduced it to me through working with him everyday, listening to his boom box at our work sites. And being such a good friend, it was another thing to share with him. Now it is the only thing I almost listen to, and love.
Listening to the songs, I started to sing along with them in my car back and forth to work. Now for the past 4 years, I have enjoyed singing country. Singing right here on the Internet, in voice chat rooms, doing karaoke. Meeting new friends, listening to other country lovers sing, has given me the courage to even join local karaoke contests around town. I can't believe I am singing. It is such a joy, such a release, from the things around me. Thanks country music. Tim Payne
