I have never been what you would call a big Dwight Yoakam fan, but after hearing his newest album, "Tomorrows Sounds Today," I am really starting to like what I hear.

"Love Caught Up To Me" is an upbeat Honky Tonk dance song.

"What Do You Know About Love" is the first single to be released from the album. It's "CHOICE."

"Time Spent Missin' You" is what I would call a tear-in-your-beer song. It's a good slow dance or waltz song.

"Sad Side Of Town" is a country milestone in its own right. It's the first song that Dwight and Buck Owens have written together.

"Free To Go" is one of my favorite songs on the album. It's got that upbeat flair that is Dwight Yoakam's signature sound.

"Promise You Cant Keep" is another tear-in-your-beer song that if you didn't know who was singing would swear that it was Buck Owens. It's amazing how much Dwight sounds like him and how well their voices blend together in the songs they have done together. It's rare that someone finds that kind of a singing partner once in a lifetime. Buck has been twice blessed (with the late Don Rich) and now with Dwight.

"Dreams Of Clay" is "CHOICE." I doubt that anyone could listen to this song and sit still. It's got that certain somthing that just makes me want to start tapping my foot and keep time with the drum beat.

"The Heartaches Are Free" is my favorite song from the album. It's a classic Honky Tonk song twang, fiddle and all. I love the phrase "It Takes A Thousand Tears... To Wear Out Your Knees... But That's Okay... Heartaches Are Free."

"A World Of Blue" is one of those catchy phrase country songs.

There are two songs on this album that include Country Legend, Buck Owens which are cleverly called "Bonus Bucks."

"Alright I'm Wrong" is a very cajun or maybe Tex-Mex sounding song.

"I Was There" is the other "Bonus Buck." It's the story of a love that starts out as all loves do, and ends up a mess.. or as they sing "a hopeless, helpless thing that goes up in smoke."
