At 8:10 pm, the lights dimmed, and Eric Heatherly took the stage. This was my first time seeing him in concert, so I didn't know what to expect, other than I'd heard good things, so was expecting a good show.

One thing you notice about Eric, he's a musician at heart. You can see how much he loves playing guitar, even more so than singing, although he's a great singer, he's a fantastic guitarist. He also has a good repoire with his band. They teased each other alot, especially Eric and his bass player.

Pretty much, Eric played most of the songs from his album, just about in the order that they are on his album, plus a couple other songs. There were some really excited fans of his in the first row, and he tended to play to them a lot 'cuz they really made a lot of noise. One of the girls even talked with him, saying she had seen him in San Dimas, CA, when he asked her where he remembered her from. He said, "Oh yeah, it was hot there, wasn't it?" And with that he took off his tie and went over to her and hugged her, gave her a kiss, then wrapped his tie around her neck. Man, was she lucky!!!
