"Jolene" is the first single off the album, and although a remake, it sounds much different than Dolly's version. While the original has an old country feel to it, Sherrié updates the song by adding her own vocal style and musical changes. She did a great job on this one. The next song, "Goin' Goin' Gone," is traditional country and full of heart. She knows that he loved her in his own way but once she decides it will not last, she leaves. "Now I'm one step ahead of the heartache, one foot out the door. And it's too late, your words to stop me from crossing that floor. Like the moon fades with the dawn, I'm goin, goin, gone." "Somethin' Missin' in the Kissin'" - Another traditional country song, this time mid-tempo instead of slow. After a breakup, she dates other men, and they try to get her to go home with them by getting her tipsy, holding her and kissing her among other things. She always goes home alone because no matter how hard they try, no man can make her feel like the guy she was with before she dumped him. It is a really wonderful song, and my favorite from this album. The couple in "In Our Own Sweet Time" are going to do whatever they want to do, whenever they want, and no one is going to stop them! It's an upbeat tune and Sherrié hits the high notes so effortlessly. Sherrié really knows how to belt out the ballads and "Love Melts Even The Coldest Hearts" is no exception. Two people were hurt deeply by a past relationship and though they thought their heart had turned cold to the ideas of love, they found each other and realized they were meant to be together. Meanwhile, they also found out that their hearts could be warmed yet again. Song List:
