Jennifer recently came up with some questions for Jeff Carson, and here is what he had to say.

BMPRSHOST: When radio wasn't playing some of your singles, what gave you the strength to "Shine On," and keep going on with your music?

Jeff Carson: I give a lot of credit to my wife, Kim. She seems to know just what to say at the right time to eventually put a smile back on my face.

BMPRSHOST: When I first heard your song, "Real Life," I thought you sounded a lot like Garth Brooks. Have you heard of anybody else saying something about that similarity?

Jeff Carson: I remember when I had my first big single, "Not on Your Love," I heard that occasionally. I find myself doing that to new artists too though. I think since you're not used the the artists voice yet, that you always think that, "oh, he reminds me of..." If I can "sell albums" like Garth...now that would be cool.

BMPRSHOST: Speaking of "Real Life," do you think yours will ever be the same again after having the song be such a smash hit?

Jeff Carson: I really don't think that my life ever changed with even the success of those earlier hits. I'm still the same ol' me...just happier, maybe, huh? :-)

BMPRSHOST: What do you do to wind down after a long day of being on the road and performing?

Jeff Carson: I like to jump in the jeep with my wife and go "Deer looking". There's a routine route that we drive, binoculars in hand, counting how many deer and turkey that we can see.

BMPRSHOST: I know that you frequently answer questions on your website's message board, but do you like visiting other websites? If so, what are some of your favorites?

Jeff Carson: I like looking at radio stations sites. Before the "ban" on radios airplay over the internet, I would listen to a DJ in another state, call them up and tell them I was listening. (and maybe request one of my songs) Sometimes I could tell that they didn't believe me.

BMPRSHOST: When did you start playing a guitar?

Jeff Carson: I remember when I was about 12 years old, I had a dream one night that I was playing guitar and it sounded so good that when I woke up I started learning chords and strumming probably the next day on moms guitar.

BMPRSHOST: Do you play any other instruments?

Jeff Carson: Bass guitar and harmonica.

BMPRSHOST: Which type of song do you like to sing best: slow, fast, or both?

Jeff Carson: There's nothing better than a good heart tugging ballad, but you can only do so many of them in a live show.

BMPRSHOST: What is in your CD Player right this minute?

Jeff Carson: Hold on...I'll go check...................James Taylor.

BMPRSHOST: Who is the Country Music artist you looked up to the most when you were younger?

Jeff Carson: Vern Gosdin.

BMPRSHOST: Did you or have you ever met him?

Jeff Carson: Yes, last year at Fan Fair.

BMPRSHOST: Are there any songs that you have heard and then wished you would have been to one to originally sing it?

Jeff Carson: Probably.

BMPRSHOST:What is the most enjoyable part of performing for you?

Jeff Carson: Seeing people know the words to one of my songs. That's a treat.

BMPRSHOST: I know that you have just recently become a Spokesman for the National Association of Slain Officers, can you tell us a little bit about how you got involved with that Organization?

Jeff Carson: I've always been a supported of law enforcement. I think that Patrick Crader, the head of N.A.S.O., knew that and asked me to be a spokesperson.

BMPRSHOST: Finally, What are your thoughts on the tragic events of September 11th?

Jeff Carson: It was the worst thing I'd ever seen. I was watching Good Morning America when it unfolded. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I can't imagine what it was like being there at "ground zero".

BMPRSHOST: Thank you Mr. Carson for answering my questions. I am very honored that you took time out of your busy schedule to answer them. Good luck with your album and I hope you have much success in the future.

Jennifer Webb Jeff Carson: My pleasure Jennifer! :-)
