to create what I think is the best album ever released by an artist. It is produced well (thanks to Dixie Chick Natalie's dad, Lloyd Maines), and the songs are awesome story lyrics set to any instruments imaginable. After one year of being released, all of a sudden you found it making itself known on the charts and gaining ground in every way. Country Music Television had already been playing the videos for "Poor Man's Son," "Barlight," and "My Hometown" during its "Jammin' Country" late night program, but once Step Right Up was released, he really started getting the airplay with his hilarious video for the NRBQ cover-tune, "I Want You Bad." The whole video is based around Mr. Robison being a Private Investigator that is going around trying to figure out who was taking pictures of a lady's grandaughter. Only recently has there been a second video and single released, "Right Man For the Job," which has always been my favorite and, as usual, the video shows more of Charlie's humor as he walks down the street with his walking cane after breaking out of jail. Grouped with previous month's artist Pat Green, I am very pleased that these men are getting so much recognition. To me, Texas Country Music is real and full of heart and soul that sometimes seems lacking in the "sit around in a cold office to write songs" Contemporary Country these days. Singers and songwriters, these guys tell you stories and let you know who they are - all through working hard and remaining true to their roots and musical styles, which I think, is wonderful.
