When an artist releases a Christmas album, you never know if it will feature reworked songs or traditional ones. Everyone can listen to this album because of its traditional and more universal format. A perfect place for "White Christmas" would be playing in a compact disc or tape player while entertaining holiday guests, baking, or sipping some cider by a warm, crackling fire.
In most of the songs, Martina has a softer, more gentle voice, but small traces of her usual way of belting them out can be found on "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," and "O Holy Night." My favorites are "Away In A Manger," and "Silent Night."
This is the only Christmas album I have, and I listen to it nonstop during the holidays because I never tire of it. All of the songs are beautiful. Martina has such a strong, powerful voice that enables her to sing just about anything and "White Christmas" is something to treasure for many years to come -- it is timeless and classic.
Purchase White Christmas.
