Between Midnight and Hindsight Cover Currently, Joy Lynn White is deep into the alternative country music scene, but back in 1992, when this album was first released, she was trying to break into the business.

Her unique and deeply emotional voice make her stand out among the others in this field and she has provided backup vocals to such artists as Dwight Yoakam, Sara Evans, and Lee Roy Parnell.

Little Tears is a song where she is thinking about him (with someone else) after a break up, and is just a little upset, so she only cries little tears.

True Confessions - A couple in love and the morning after, she realizes he only wanted her shoulder to cry on and only wanted her love for awhile, while she was looking for someone to rely on. Their true confessions were in their eyes, but that did not stop them the night before.

Those Shoes is about how she has felt heartache and pain and does not want anyone to follow in her footsteps, because it is a long way down from where she was. She has walked in those shoes, and though you think you might lose it, there is more that you can lose if you track him down to confront him.

Wherever You Are - My favorite song. He left her, and she left him, because meeting in the middle was too difficult. He could be out walking and talking or in a honky tonk, and she would still love him, wherever he is, even though her heart is broken because of him.

Why Do I Feel So Good is a slow song that is about how her mom and dad did not like her boyfriend because he was wild, and a little too rough. She questions their judgement by asking "If he's so bad, why do I feel so good?" She goes on to marry another (boring) guy, and even though she lives in a mansion, she longs to be with the guy her parents disapproved of.

Wishful Thinking - She thought the man would change for the better after he did her wrong, but she realized that was just her wishful thinking and he would always be the same.

Let's Talk About Love Again - She misses the romance in the relationship and asks him to sit beside her and tell how he feels about her missing him. Then she wants him to show her his feelings.

Bittersweet End - She thinks back to when they were together, how he could start a fire in her with just one kiss. Missing the tender moments, she wonders why it came to such a bittersweet end.

In Hey Hey Mama - The singer tells her parents not to worry that their baby has left home. She will be back and wherever she is in the world, she will not be alone because of having her mom and dad's love.

Cold Day in July - The original "Cold Day In July" that the Dixie Chicks are now singing. Joy's version focuses more on the vocals, and has a little bit softer sounding background.

It's Amazing is about finding true love, and how it makes a person feel inside. Whenever she is down, he lifts her spirits and makes her feel happy. The closer he gets to her, the faster her heart beats.
